Art-Glass AR70
Low Reflection Invisible (LRI) reveals true colours and texture of the art – no green tint or optical distortions. Thanks to its low reflective coating, which reduces unwanted reflections to less than 1%, nothing will prevents one from viewing the actual content of the framed item. Moreover, LRI has a smooth surface that allows for details to emerge unaltered. LRI will enlighten the work of every framer – it can be cut and glazed from either side and its coating is scratch resistant and very easy to clean.
Artglass AR 70 is designed to reduce glare and reflections while also blocking a portion of harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. It is an excellent choice to achieve superior visibility for framed artworks, collectibles, and memorabilia.
Artglass AR 70 reveals the true colors and texture of art – with no green tint or optical distortion. It provides an exceptional viewing experience, reducing reflections to less than 1%. The remaining reflection has a neutral green color, which is characteristic of all anti-reflective glazing products.
THIS PRODUCT HAS THE FOLLOWING FEATURES AND BENEFITS:
- Low-iron 2 mm glass substrate
- Reflections reduced to ~1%
- Visible light transmission increased to 98%
- Neutral and stable colour of the remaining 1% reflection, no substrate undertones
- 1220mm x 914mm
- Passes the ISO 18916 (Photographic Activity Test)
Art-Glass 99
UV Plain 2mm provides UV protection by blocking out 99% of harmful rays thus helping prevent the treasured keepsake from fading as well as yellowing of photographs, or paper becoming brittle. Choose conservation glass on your next framing project – offer 99% UV protection. UV Plain 2mm is your great choice for picture framing!
UV damage is cumulative and irreversible to framed artwork. The sunlight rays will react with the surface of an artwork or photograph, and change its chemical composition as it breaks down the bonds in the paper, dyes and pigments. The result is brittle paper and faded colours.

Conservation Mountboard.
What is it? How is it made? And why do we use it?
Conservation mountboard is a high-grade framing board made from purified alpha-cellulose wood pulp (or cotton). It protects artwork by being completely free of lignin and acids, and it is alkaline-buffered with calcium carbonate to neutralise harmful pollutants and prevent yellowing or degradation over time.
How it is made
- Purified Fibres: Unlike standard mountboards made from raw groundwood pulp, conservation board uses high-purity alpha-cellulose (at least 84% to 90% pure wood fibres) or 100% cotton rag.
- Lignin Removal: The chemical lignin—which binds wood fibres, turns yellow, and releases damaging acids as it ages—is completely removed during processing.
- Alkaline Buffering: The board is treated or “buffered” with calcium carbonate (chalk) to maintain a neutral-to-alkaline pH (typically around 7.5 to 9.5) that actively neutralizes acidic gases from the air or surrounding materials.
- Clean Additives: It is made without optical brighteners (OBAs), which degrade or shift colour, and uses neutral-pH or PVA adhesives for lamination.
What makes it special
- Prevents Acid Migration: Standard boards turn acidic and cause “burn lines,” yellowing, and brittleness in paper art over time. Conservation board acts as a permanent chemical barrier.
- Colourfast Bevels: When you cut a window mat at an angle, the exposed core stays a clean, bright, natural white or cream instead of turning an ugly brown.
- Fine Art Trade Guild Compliance: It meets strict industry standards (such as FATG Conservation Level 2), meaning it is safety-certified for valuable prints, photos, and artwork.
- Long Lifespan: While cheap standard boards break down in 1 to 5 years, conservation boards protect and preserve artwork safely for decades.
